QMS Bus Rallies
Running Days, May 1st-2nd 2010
We are pleased to announce our Depot Open Weekend to celebrate our move to a new operating centre at Bishops Lydeard. The event is on Saturday and Sunday, May 1st and 2nd 2010 and is based at the new depot, right next to the WSR railway station.
A free heritage bus link will operate on both days, connecting the depot with Taunton Railway Station, Taunton town centre, our old depot at Norton Fitzwarren (where some of our vehicles will be on view) and our outstation at Langley Marsh. Bus tours of the local area may also be available.
A small fee may be charged for access to the new depot.
As always, we aim to make as many heritage vehicles available as possible during the weekend. However, due to our modern fleet requiring crews as normal, we are appealing to the enthusiast community to volunteer as drivers (suitably qualified) and conductors to support our regular crews. Please contact us as soon as possible if you can help.
Heritage vehicles due to appear (subject to availability) will include:
JG 9938 Leyland Tiger TS8 (East Kent)
LFM 302 Leyland Tiger PS1 (Crosville)
JFM 575 AEC Regal III (Crosville)
GNU 750 Daimler COG5/40 (Blue Bus Services)

If you came to this event and enjoyed it, please tell us by email, snail mail or by phone. Our contact details are at the foot of this page.
The weekend was well patronised and accompanied by good weather as well. Many people were out and about taking photographs and videos so, if you’d like to show your appreciation, please send us a selection of your images so that we can showcase them in the gallery section of this website (with the appropriate credits of course).
We’d like to thank the many volunteer drivers and conductors who helped us run this event. Some of them travelled considerable distances to be with us and their efforts on our behalf are greatly appreciated.
