NewsHeard about Taunton's Heritage Christmas Park and Ride? Saturdays from November 24th to December 22nd - details here
Quantock Motor Services Plan have now been finalised and the format will be the following: On the Saturday Morning there will be a ‘North Western’ tour using Bristol L type vehicles and posing them in suitable scenic locations. Saturday afternoon sees us starting at a ‘Crosville’ outstation, and we will then undertake a Crosville tour with suitable Single deck vehicles. There will then be an evening drive, using single deckers to a remote pub/restaurant. Sunday Morning will consist of 30’s coaching using pre-war vehicles, and Sunday afternoon will consist of ‘by the seaside’. Participants need to book with us beforehand on 01823 251140, spaces are going to be limited so it will be first come first served. Participants are also advised that you will be expected to take turns in being the passengers on the bus – important for the later shots where the interior lights will be on. Therefore you will need to be dressed in suitable period clothing as well. The North Western and Crosville tours will be roughly late 50’s so you can get the look. We are trying to establish contacts with suitable re-enactment groups, and also arranging for suitable period cars and drivers to complete the scene, this won’t just be a bus posed with a driver! The cost of the weekend is £10 per day and £5 for the evening drive, £25 in total for the whole weekend. Pick up points can be arranged in the Taunton area.
